It has always been said that Women are meant for sacrifice. They have to sacrifice at every stage of life because they are women.

But is it because they are Women?

Absolutely No !!!

It is only because of their love towards their near and dear ones, that they sacrifice their own happiness. The love, which is inbuilt in Womanhood, this is the love which makes her a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a daughter-in-law and so on.

History shows that women have made it clear that when need comes they will be transformed from “Manikarnika” into the Revolutionary ‘Rani LaxmiBai’. Renaming University of Pune to ‘Savitribai Phule Pune University’, is a symbol of contribution by Social Reformer Savitribai Phule to the Education System.

Time has changed and so the genre of womanhood. They don’t need a man to make them complete.

Be it Former Miss. India Universe Sushmita Sen or Tabassum Hashmi (Tabu), it is proven that women can be single parent and independent on their own without being defeated by the stereotype mentality of the society.

Mai Sindhutai Sapkal, was abandoned by her husband when she was pregnant, for the reason that she stood for the rights of the villagers on collection of dried cow dung as fuel. From being referred to as Chindhi (Marathi for “torn piece of cloth”) to being a mother of over 1050 orphans, she is now known as “Mai”. She was conferred a Doctorate in Literature by the DY Patil Institute of Technology and Research in 2016.

Whether it is a Woman from the lowest or the highest strata of society, each one of them fought

for their rights.

Why Fight?

Because they were not served their rights on a Plate.
